Cintia de Paiva from Baylor College share her know-how in research at SMS

Graduated in medicine at SMS Unicamp and former resident in ophthalmology at the same institution, Baylor College´s associated professor Cintia de Paiva came on last Monday (06/24) for an special lecture titled “Animal model in dry eye diseases: what have we learned about it?”, invited by Dr. Monica Alves, professor of Department of Ophthalmology at Unicamp

In this occasion, the specialist from Baylor College talked with undergraduated med students, residents, PhD students and attendants about her international career, the projects in basic research developed in her department and how this kind of research goes from bench to bedside  and to clinical practice

About Cintia S. de Paiva:
Assistant professor of Baylor College since 2002, Cintia is graduated in medicine (2003) and ophthalmology (1997) at SMS Unicamp and PhD at SMS USP-Ribeirão Preto. She works on research in dry eye diseases, ocular surface and tear film, with more than 141 original articles and 5522 citations and president of the International Ocular Surface Society (IOSS).
