As part of the training program, the medical resident Felipe Franco da Graça, from the Department of Neurology of School of Medical Sciences (SMS) of University of Campinas (Unicamp), participated in a two months clinical internship in well known european universities. In August, he stayed for the whole month in the University of Coimbra Hospital, in Coimbra, Portugal, where he attended to the movement disorders and genetics clinics.

During his stay, he presented part of his ongoing capstone project in neuroimaging in hereditary spastic paraplegia (advised by Prof. Marcondes França Jr.) during the weekly round for professors and medical residents of the University. In September, he started a clinical observership in the Queen Square hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery from the University College London (UCL), in London, UK, where he is also attending to movement disorders and genetics clinics and participating in brain dissections and histological studies in the UK Brain Bank.

The Brain Bank is worldwide famous for establishing the Parkinson's disease criteria and for its important scientific production in the area. The two experiences, in addition to complementing the medical training, meet the goal of internationalization that is a hallmark of our university.
