Selection Process - 2nd semester 2025

The Graduate Program in Pharmacology of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the State University of Campinas, through this notice, considering the provisions of CONSU Resolution A-10/2015, of August 11, 2015, and CCPG Information n. 001/2017, of February 8, 2017, makes public the opening of registrations for the Master's and Doctorate courses for admission in the second semester of 2025.

GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR CANDIDATES INTERESTED IN POSTGRADUATE STUDIES IN PHARMACOLOGY (FCM/UNICAMP)

ATTENTION:  Admission to the postgraduate program in Pharmacology is only open to students who have already chosen a supervisor. If they haven't, students should consult the program's list of advisors, contact their chosen professor, according to their area of interest, and find out if the professor is accepting new students for the semester in question.  The list of professors is available here.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS  Before enrolling, applicants must obtain the acceptance of the desired professor (see the list of professors accredited in the Program) and have proficiency in English (TEAP, IELTS, TOEFL and Centro de Estudos de Línguas - CEL/Unicamp are accepted).

PERIODS OF THE SELECTION PROCESS The selection process usually takes place in May-June and October-November of each year..

THE SELECTION PROCESS:

  • MASTER'S - Candidates for the master's and direct doctorate degrees whose applications have been accepted will be summoned, in a document published on the Pharmacology Graduate Program website, for an interview that will cover the research project and the activities in their Lattes curriculum and will be conducted by a panel of three professors.

 

  • DOCTORATE AND DIRECT DOCTORATE Doctorate and direct doctorate candidates whose applications have been accepted will be called, in a document published on the Pharmacology Graduate Program website, to a project defense, which consists of presenting the doctorate project to a panel of three professors. The presentation should be made using slides (PowerPoint, Prezi or similar) and last 30 minutes, following the normal structure of presentations (Introduction, Objectives, Methods to be used, and preliminary results, if any). After the presentation, the candidate will be questioned by the board, after which they will be deemed to have passed or failed. In the event of failure, the board w.ill draw up a circumstantial opinion on the nature of the failure. The candidate for the Direct Doctorate may be approved for entry to the Doctorate or Master's Degree, subject to a detailed opinion from the board, if they so wish.
