SMS - Unicamp received visit from Professor from University College London

On July 2019, School of Medical Sciences (SMS) of University of Campinas (Unicamp), in co-operation with University College London (UCL), University of Cape Town, Brigham and Women’s Hospital affiliate of Harvard Medical School, and The Lancet, will host the first Latin American event on continuous medical education on Cardiology, Diabetology and Nephrology. The event called “Cardiology, Diabetology and Nephrology and the Limits” has been taking place regularly for 21 years and is hosted in the cities of London and Cape Town, alternately.

Since 2016, the event’s coordinator, professor Derek Yellon, professor of Cardiology in the University College London and Director of Hatter Cardiovascular Institute, invited professor Andrei Sposito to participate in this collaboration and, in 2019, the Unicamp will be officially part of this group hosting these events. On October 8th, professor Derek Yellon (picture) paid a visit to directors professor Luiz Carlos Zefereino and professor Claudio S. R. Coy, accompanied by professor Andrei Sposito, who will coordinate, together with Prof. Otavio Coelho, the participation of Unicamp in this agreement.
