Discipline Topics in Surgical Sciences begins in Post Graduate Program with classes in English

The Topics in Surgical Sciences course of the Post Graduate Program in Surgical Sciences FCM Unicamp was offered for the first time on 08/02/18, with the presence at the opening of Prof. Cláudia Vianna M. Morelli, Coordinator of the Postgraduate Commission, Profa. Raquel Franco Leal, Coordinator of the Post-Graduation in Surgical Sciences, and Prof. Gustavo P. Fraga, Coordinator of the International Office of FCM - Unicamp. The main purpose is internationalization, encouraging students to improve their academic English while at the same time opening opportunities for foreign students to become interested in and to apply to the Program.

The course will be offered in English, and its objective is to discuss the evolution of science to the present day, highlighting its influence on the constitution of academic entities, the dissemination of current scientific knowledge and academic writing. To exemplify the evolution of science in the surgical area, research on contemporary diseases and surgical procedures will be discussed throughout the duration of the course. The first day of the course received as a guest Prof. Tristan Torriani, philosopher from FCA - Unicamp.
