Unicamp Pediatric Surgeon completes observership in the Cincinnati Fetal Center

Professor Marcio Lopes Miranda, MD, PhD, completed an observership program in the Cincinnati Fetal Center September this year, 2018. He was involved in all fetal and surgical activities as well as the pediatric general surgery regular sessions at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC). He participated in several counseling meetings and fetoscopic procedures during his time there, such as laser photocoagulation to treat TTTS and fetoscopic spina bifida repair.

He also participated in discussions on ongoing projects in the Fetal and Placental Research Laboratory. The following projects could be concretized: Cooperation agreement, Case discussion and teleconference meeting, Clinical and experimental research and Professional exchange.
