Women’s Health (experience in Obstetrics’, Gynecology and Oncology)

The ObGyn Department offers a unique experience in our areas of expertise, throughout the week at the Women’s Hospital, University of Campinas, with activities in our outpatient clinics and medical wards, including case discussion, observation of exams and presentations on different topics.

Monday – July 3rd, 1:30 PM – 6:00 PM

OBSTETRICS

Description: Reception at the Women’s hospital with an overview of our activities and a visit to the main hospital wards and outpatient clinics. Focus on the high-risk medical word on Obstetrics, with case discussion of pregnant women admitted (main topics: Preeclampsia, Preterm Birth and Infection).
Prof. José Paulo Guida (CAISM- First Floor)- responsible for the activity with possible participation of other professors, depending on number of students.
Meeting and case discussion at the outpatient clinic- antenatal care-Infection- with Professor Eliana Amaral.

GYNECOLOGY

Description: Outpatient clinic in Gyn and Family Planning, with case discussion and simulation on the use of LARCs (such as IUD and Implant) Prof. Luiz Francisco Baccaro (CAISM- second Floor)- responsible for the activity with participation of other professors and post-graduate students.

Description: Case discussion of patients admitted to the Gynecology medical ward Prof. Daniela Yela (CAISM- 4th Floor) - Gyn. Ward.

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE.

Description: The ObGyn Post-Graduate Course is one of the most prestigious programs in the Country, with high-impact research in Obstetrics’, Gynecology and Oncology. Students will have the opportunity to visit Laboratories, our Biobank, and our Research Partner institution, called CEMICAMP.
Prof. Renato Souza (CAISM- First Floor)- responsible for the activity with participation of post-graduate students (Guilherme de Moraes e Charles M. Mocca) and meetings with inspiring researchers of the program.

Description: Visit (getting to know) the ER (Emergency Room) on Oncology and Clinical Case discussion.

Outpatient clinic for women that suffered sexual VIOLENCE (multidisciplinary approach, with ObGyn, psychiatrist, nurses, psychology)
