From September 4th to December 12th, the School of Medical Sciences (SMS) at the University of Campinas (Unicamp) welcomed Micheline Coelho, a fifth-year medical student from the International University of Health Sciences (Australia campus). Complementing her clinical year, for 14 weeks, Micheline carried out an internship at the Clinical Hospital (CH) of Unicamp. During her stay, the student had the opportunity to rotate in two different specialties: Intern Medicine and Family Medicine. She also had the chance to participate in the daily activities of the local interns and residents. These activities included attending lectures, participating in morning rounds and assisting outpatient treatment.

“My stay at Unicamp was a great learning experience. I had the opportunity to learn from experienced and renowned doctors in Brazil. Everyone was attentive and kind, so in addition to the medical learning I made great friends. It was worth coming, as the structure of the university is excellent and gives me an opportunity to have contact with patients at all levels of healthcare, from primary care to Intensive Care Unit. In summary, Unicamp is an excellent university with cutting-edge research, qualified professors and wonderful people. I loved this experience!”, said Micheline.
